WDSG-UK relies wholly on subscriptions, donations and fundraising to carry out its work, support patients and sponsor research.  It was granted charitable status by HMRC in 2010 under the heading of Community and Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC) and through this it is able to claim Gift Aid back on donations, where appropriate.

VirginMoneyGiving has collected donations on our behalf since 2017 and provided a fundraising platform for people wishing to raise funds for us.  However, this service is being withdrawn to all on 30th November 2021.

For those wishing to continue supporting us in this way, WDSG-UK is pleased to announce that as from 7th November 2021 InvestMyCommunity has kindly agreed to offer us a similar service, whereby income from regular donations and one-off fundraising events can continue to be collected on our behalf.  Scan the QR code or follow the Visit InvestMyCommunity button to visit our new fundraising platform with InvestMyCommunity .
